Not sure how to get started, but here goes...
My name is Harry, I'm married, and my wife is disabled, we have an 11 yr old daughter, about 2.5 yrs ago we bought this house my wife really liked. I didn't think we could get it. Didn't think we made enough. But to my surprise, the loan went through. I later find out, its called a no doc loan. And I was right we really couldn't afford the house with all the other bills. So any ways..... Lets see...Last June, oh, I'm a truck Driver, last june, at work I hurt my back at work lifting something to heavy, and was placed on light duty, and being in fear of losing my job I did my best to maintain my normal delivery job. At the company I worked for they were laying people off all over the country. Well on 10-2-2008, my day came. So now I on light duty workers comp, no job, no income, oh, 275 per week unemployment helps, but no benenfits, almost 2000 dollar mortgage payment, my wife just had 4 disks fused in her back, thank God we HAD insurance for that, but she still needs to see the doctor for follow ups, but now no insurance. We hardly made it when I brought home 700 dollars per week. We're trying to get food stamps, help from our church, family??? I don't know really what else to do. I have all kinds of tools. Only problem, cant use them. I've always been able to come up with side work or something and now, just to go out and get the mail out of the mail box, I'm doing good...
We live in the Tampa, Florida area, so if anyone has any idea, suggestions, whatevers, I'm just so lost. As of right now. We have yet to be late on any payments, any have good credit, hate to screw that up too. But I guess just like the rest of america, to foreclose on our house. Damn I hate thinking about it....I even called our mortgage company. They cant help. because, we're not behind yet.....
I'm not looking for any hand outs, not that I woulnd'nt take them. But, please, any suggestions, I'm never been in any situation like this before, and it just seems like every where I turn I just run into a brick wall....
